No USB keyboard support during restore...
« on: January 14, 2013, 10:45:33 AM »
I have had this problem with Ubermix 1.063 across several models of desktops.  USB keyboards do not function after the first menu when trying to restore a computer.    PS2 keyboards work without a problem, but on USB only machine this poses a huge problem.  I'm hoping for a fix!  Thanks.

This is usually I BIOS setting. Look for something along the lines of "USB Legacy Support" in the BIOS of the machine in question and enable it.

Unfortunately we are trying to install on DC5100 and DC5700 machines which do not have such a feature in the BIOS.   When the quiet command is taken out, you can see in the terminal when the USB devices are plugged and unplugged, so they are being seen just not recognized as input devices.

Turns out there was no USB HID (Human Interface Device) support in the default init image. Has been fixed in ubermix v1.065, which will be posted shortly.
