After imaging first boot hangs

After imaging first boot hangs wit this on the screen:

speech-dispatcher disabled; edit /etc/default/speech-dispatcher
saned disabled; edit /etc/default/saned
  *  Checking battery state...


I get this on Dell 1018's and Asus 1011's

Any thoughts?

If you press ctrl-alt-f1 does it give you a login prompt?

OK, so it's not hung. If you alt-f7 back to the GUI do you see anything?

I can't reproduce this problem on my end on the 1018 or 1011. What version are you using? Specific steps to reproduce?
