unable to install it
« on: September 17, 2014, 06:24:02 PM »
Hello, this is my first time using ubermix, i have a dell Latitude D620 that currently has archlinux installed. Now i have followed your download/install guide, i installed win32disk imager and then compared the md5 and both are correct, i then proceed to write it to the usb and was successfully, but when i boot from it i just get a small icon at the bottom of the screen and then nothing. if i press enter i choose my language and select install/configure ubermix after that just a black screen. I have tried all usb ports as well. Any help would be Great, thanks!

Try this: when you see the small icons, press esc and then set to nomodeset under "Other options". Might want to experiment with all of those to see if one will let it boot. Also might try a CD install, as some older systems really don't like booting from a USB key. See http://wiki.ubermix.org/page/CD_Install
