mirroring to vga projector
« on: January 31, 2014, 10:13:56 AM »
We have some HP 6465b and 6735b laptops on which we've installed Ubermix (recent version). We aren't able to get them to mirror their screens to our projectos (InFocus brand, different models).

We can easily mirror to the projectors with ASUS and HP netbooks with the same Ubermix image. We can also project from HP 6465b laptops that teachers use (but which use Ubuntu 12.04 rather than the Ubermix modifications).

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the issue might be? Thanks

That model uses an AMD Fusion processor, so you have a proprietary video card. Version 1.4 may work out of the box - it has a newer kernel that might drive it without modification. If not, try opening a terminal (ctrl-alt-t) and type "sudo jockey-gtk" to see if it finds the proprietary driver.
