Windows Share Access from Files and Folders Menu
« on: October 24, 2013, 11:28:56 AM »
After mounting a Windows share and creating a bookmark.  I am able to access it just fine from the sidebar of Nautilus (once I've gone to Home or Documents, etc.).  If I go back to the Files & Folders group from the main launch page, I see the share listed as a folder.  However, if I try and click there, I get a trio of errors which seem to indicate that it is trying to access the file directory as 3 different shares (all of which fail).  If I OK past all of the errors and go to Home or some other folder, I am fine to get to the share from the sidebar.

It appears to be the way that the system is handling the share name in the .gvfs directory.....seeing the spaces in the name as indicating 3 different shares instead of a single name.
When I do an ls of /home/user/.gvfs it shows
mestudentshare on metolius
original mount command was
smb://metoluis/mestudentshare

Looks like a launcher glitch. Try changing the bookmark name in /home/user/.gtk-bookmarks and see if it works better.
