SMARTNotebook and Drivers?

Has anyone worked with SMARTNotebook on Ubermix 1.31?  I am able to load the SMART .debs on a standard Ubuntu install, but when I do so on my Ubermix machine, it removes a bunch of xorg components and then on a reboot I get nothing but a text login prompt.  Just curious if anyone has attempted the SMART install and had success.

I would guess that the SMART Notebook debs aren't behaving properly with the newer xorg in ubermix 1.31. I'll have a look at it and see what I can find out.
