Aspire V5-131 touchpad freezing
« on: September 11, 2013, 10:40:16 AM »
Hello all,
We have users reporting that the touchpads, actually buttonless "clickpads" are freezing up while students are using Aspire V5-131 netbooks. I have not personally seen this, but it has been reported by tech personnel also, so the information is reliable.

Has anyone seen this on any Acer netbooks before? What would be the best way to check the hardware and driver, and possibly update or change it?

If it helps, the problem seems to occur more often when the machines are coming out of suspend / hibernate. Although restarting has been a temporary fix, tech personnel have reported that the problem comes back again quickly, often without re-suspending, etc.

Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
D

Hmm - haven't experienced that problem myself. Has anyone tried the touchpad disable/enable function key when it freezes?
