Acer V5-131 brightness very low

Cannot get the brightness level to stick.  When it boots the screen goes very dim.  Any thoughts on how to remedy this?

Did you do the brightness fix? http://wiki.ubermix.org/page/Brightness_controls Also, fight try adjusting brightness at the "acer" splash screen. Might be storing some setting in the BIOS itself.
