Hardware Specific / Re: UM 3.0 - Wireless not available on HP 3125
« on: October 27, 2016, 11:11:04 AM »
Solved my problem.  Had to install the driver for the Ralink Wireless - From here.
http://onthim.blogspot.com/2015/06/install-ralink-rt3290-wi-fi-driver-on.html

Then I had to follow these steps here as my wireless didn't stick after my restart.

sudo ifconfig -a

will list all the available ehternet interfaces. Now activate your WIFI interface by:

sudo ifconfig interface-name up

here interface-name should be one listed from executing ifconfig -a command. Now restart network manager by:

sudo service network-manager restart

Restarted 3 times following just to check with success.  Rebuilding the install key right now.

Hardware Specific / UM 3.0 - Wireless not available on HP 3125
« on: October 26, 2016, 12:39:45 PM »
I've installed 3.0 on a HP 3125.  On first run - I'm able to put in our WiFi password without issues and wireless works.  I shut down and turn back on - wireless says it's unavailable even though it's enabled.  I've run into this on two different machines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

General Support / 2.1 Not creating new master key
« on: September 15, 2014, 12:34:24 PM »
I was able to update an HP 3125 with the new 2.1.  When I go to create a new master key, (5 - Expert Options, then 1), I receive an error /init-key:  line:arithmetic syntax error.

Then my drive won't mount.  (USB I'm assuming here)

Any thoughts?

So I'm going to update..

I found a HDD Wipe program (DBAN) that wiped the entire drive.  So I was able to start with a clean slate.

What I did was install an old build of Ubermix (1.068 I believe) and that worked fine.  I was able to do everything in that.  I think took a new copy of 1.082 and loaded it and ran into the same problem as before.  I was able to update for the Cedar Trail problem (I was thinking this would be the cause), but ran into the same startup issue.  So I'm able to figure out it's the .082 build and my netbook.  When it did get past the splash screen, I was able to do some things, but not much because time was limited.  So I'm wondering, what the best way to update from .068 where my settings worked to .082 without installing or using a new key.

Did not work.. same errors.

Created new generic key (not a build like the other keys were) and tried that.  Same error.  Only netbook I have that does this.

Did two boots as I wasn't able to get all the information the first one...

First boot -
Speech-Dispatcher disabled; edit etc/default/speech-dispatcher
Saned disabled; edit etc/default/saned

Second Boot -
Just Speech-Dispatcher, Saned did not show up.

Same Problem occurred.  Same scenario.  Tried both Restore OS and Restore Unit Completely.  Just sticks in a loop.

Installing Ubermix 1.082 over 1.062.  It will install and start to load, getting as far as the splash screen and then it will restart.

It will show that it's trying to get vblank count for disabled pipe, goes to splashscreen and then restart.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
