Title: How do I default the boot to a specific user?
Post by: JoeMarquez70 on May 27, 2016, 11:15:43 AM
Hi, I want to know how to boot the Ubermix 2.41 OS to a specific user. The main "User" is set as admin, I want the OS to boot to a "Student User" account I created so they are not given Admin access. Any ideas?

I am having the same issue. I also need machines to boot to a user without admin privileges.

The workaround I have tried is creating a user called 'admin' with admin privileges and then changing 'user' to a standard account (System Settings -> User and Groups). The problem is that user still can use the 'Software' program to install stuff. But you can uninstall it with synaptics. The package is called gnome-software.
