Title: Firefox and Chrome will not run youtube video

i get a black screen and no video and no control panel at the bottom of the screen

That's a weird one. Try another video site (like http://vimeo.com) to make sure it's not some filtering issue or something. You can also try opening a terminal (ctrl-alt-t) and running chrome from the command line by typing "google-chrome", then nav to a youtube video and switch back to the terminal to see if there are any errors.

video.com same problem

terminal said the following
