Hi! The image installs, but after a reboot, it's end on EFI SHELL.
There is no "legacy BIOS" setting on the BIOS setup.
Also, i did an advanced install, setting BASE and USER space. Same results.
Thanks,
Juan

EFI Shell version 2.00 [4660.22136]
Current running mode 1.1.2
Device mapping table
blk0 :BlockDevice - Alias (null)
Acpi (PNP0A03,0) /Pci (1F|2)/Sata (0,0,0)
if I type "ver" in this shell, it returns:
EFI Specification Revision : 2.0
EFI Vendor: Phoenix Technologies Ltd.
EFI Revision: 4660.22136
EFI Build Version: MS_Release8_6_6_0714
Thanks

Did you try resetting the partition map under Expert Options? It looks like an EFI install, however I'd be surprised if a system with an N2600 supports EFI.
-
yes, i did that.

I just added a "create legacy partition map" option to 2.03 (just posted) under Expert Options that might solve the problem. Am finding that some older system BIOS can't handle newer GPT partition tables. Give that a try and let me know if it helps.

Thanks jim !

Jim,I'm testing the 2.03l rigth now.
there is a lot of errors and warnings,
Error: /dev/: unrecognised disk label
Warning: Unable to open /dev read-write (Is a directory). /dev has been opened read-only
Thanks

Sounds like an incomplete image. Are you sure you have the entire image? Make sure the file is 2.3Gb.
-
yes, i checked the md5 sum and it was Ok.
This weekend i will continue my tests.
I have to make a choice, the majority of my devices are n450 512 Mb 8 Gb HDD devices, i think i will stay with 1.x versions.
Thanks

That's the issue. A default 2.0L install won't squeeze down to 8Gb of primary storage out of the box - it really wants about 10Gb minimum. You could get it to fit by:
1. Install on a bigger system and boot in generic mode.
2. Remove a bunch of apps that the older devices would not be able to run well - like Blender, etc. You'll want to purge about 2 Gb worth.
3. Update your install key from that bigger system
4. Boot the little ones from the updated key, choose 2. Advanced Install, and then enter the suggested minimum sizes for the partitions.

Jim. Midterm break is near, so in a few days i will have more time for tests.
I'm evaluating my options. Going into lxde debian for the old nets it's one, but i will miss the ubermix recovery options, and the update script.
I love MATE desktop (the main developer is from my country) but it feels a little more sluggish on the old hardware.Anyway, i have to test it seriously before release.
Thank's for all the support!
