am trying to install more apps on some netbooks i have and running out of space on system partition or user partition not exactly sure which one its using as a default path to install to but is there any way i can change the installation path to say the home partition. Thank you

If you want to install more apps and need additional space, boot from an install key, then select "Expert Options" followed by "Resize base system partition." This allow you to make the base partition any size you want.
Bear in mind that the bigger the base system partition, the longer it will take to install on subsequent machines and the larger the USB install key you will need to store the image. Ubermix starts with a 4.5Gb base partition (with about 200Mb free) so I'd recommend upping it to 5Gb to start. That way, you can keep your future install times and key sizes to a minimum.
See http://ubermix.org/customization.html for further information.

tanks lots for ze response BUT i uped my base system partition to 50GB just to see but its still using my user change partition . is there a way that i can up the user changes partition. and all dpkg or any kinda installs are using the same partition. this is what i get whn i do "df -h" from ze terminal
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
aufs 1.1G 489M 493M 50% /
tmpfs 497M 28K 497M 1% /tmp
tmpfs 199M 844K 198M 1% /run
/dev/disk/by-label/SYSTEM 50G 4.7G 45G 10% /ro
udev 489M 4.0K 489M 1% /ro/dev
/root/dev/disk/by-label/USER 1.1G 489M 493M 50% /rw
tmpfs 497M 672K 496M 1% /var/log
tmpfs 497M 0 497M 0% /var/tmp
none 489M 4.0K 489M 1% /dev
none 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock
none 497M 188K 496M 1% /run/shm
/dev/sda3 182G 2.9G 170G 2% /home
so every time i install something /root/dev/disk/by-label/USER goes low while /dev/disk/by-label/SYSTEM stays as it is. then i run out of space and cant install anymore.

You'll want to boot into generic mode to install apps that you want to keep on a reset, ie install to the SYSTEM partition. Read the customization Page completely for details. If you really want a big user changes partition too, you can make that happen by following the instructions at http://wiki.ubermix.org/page/Increase_User_Space
Bear in mind that a larger user space means you have more to lose on a reset.
