Ubermix 5 seems to function properly so not sure what is wrong with version 6? i would be greatful for any ideas on how to resolve

Hi, I am trying ubermix 6.06 on macbook pro to give to my child. it all install fine, but when it starts up gnome desktop does not display correctly and is pretty much a white background apart from the side menu. as you open windows up you can see them but the images are fractured and as you move the mouse about it is rendered but then disappears.

ubermix 4 backed by Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS seems to be fine in this regard.

any idea on how to fix?

im going to try ubermix 5 now
